No-fuss and good yield
A 10 x 20′ grow tray requires approximately 25 grams of seed and has a good yield of up to 300 grams of harvest.
Cabbage is not fussy with the grow medium. Hydroponic, coir peat, hemp mats, or organic soil work well with this variety. At Seedmart, we raise this crop on hemp grow mats, with bottom watering. The crop is supercharged using a small amount of Microgreen Plant Nutrient, which helps us achieve a better quality and yield from our microgreen crops.
Growing Instructions
- Sow Rate: Use approximately 25 grams of seeds per 10 x 20′ grow tray.
- Pre-soak: No pre-soaking is required for Cabbage Green seeds.
- Planting: Fill your tray with 3 – 4 cm of soil, coir peat, or hemp grow mats. Moisten the surface, then sprinkle the seeds evenly, pressing gently to ensure good contact. Avoid overcrowding to support optimal growth.
- Germination: Cover the seeds with a tray lid and place them in a dark, well-ventilated area. Lightly water once or twice daily, keeping the tray covered for the first 2 – 3 days to encourage germination.
- Light Exposure: After germination, remove the cover and place the tray in indirect light. Continue watering using the bottom-watering method 1 – 2 times daily, keeping the soil or grow medium consistently moist but not overly wet.
- Harvest: Ready in approximately 7 – 10 days, these microgreens can be harvested by cutting just above the soil level once the first true leaves appear.
