Growing Instructions

  • Sow Rate: Use 28 grams of seeds per 10 x 20″ growing tray.
  • Pre-soak: No pre-soaking is needed for Red Mustard seeds.
  • Planting: Add 2 – 3 cm of soil or coir peat to the tray, flatten and moisten the surface, and sprinkle seeds evenly. Lightly water after sowing.
  • Germination: Cover the seeds with another tray and place in a well-ventilated, dark area. Water 1 – 2 times daily, keeping the cover on for the first 2 days to support germination.
  • Light Exposure: After 2 days, remove the cover and place the tray in indirect light. Water twice daily to keep the soil consistently moist but not overly wet.
  • Harvest: Ready in approximately 8 – 12 days. Cut just above the soil level once the first true leaves appear. Difficulty level: Easy.
